A Piece of Mind for Peace of Mind

Today’s world can be so stressful and sometimes you can feel so overwhelmed and just need some “you” time. Sometimes when you want to spend time by yourself, you don’t know what to do! I have been stressed out a lot in the past year and a half, and I’m sure you have, too.
I think it’s very important to have a good self care plan, and sometimes you need some help. Some ideas for self care are:
Aromatherapy: new soaps, candles, food, and flowers. All things that smell good are very nice to start off for a day of self-care. (My favorite is blackberry pumpkin!)
Comfort foods: anything homemade, premade, or frozen. Good food is always nice to have when you're not feeling well. (I love chicken pot pie.)
Personal hygiene: This is one of the best ways to stay happy and healthy. Personally, I feel a lot better after I take a shower or bath. I like to do face masks, body scrubs, new lotion, etc… .
Distraction: watch a show, draw, make a snack. Sometimes when you're stressed out it’s nice to take your mind off what is stressing you out for a few minutes. Do something else for a bit. Then when you’re ready, try again.
Your mental and physical health are more important than anything! It’s important to take care of them. I hope you are able to use some of these tips next time you feel you need a little pep in your step!
