Artwork

Written by Corrine Halloran

Artwork has been around for a while now. So you can imagine that artwork has evolved from handmade wooden paint brushes to metal or wooden brushes made in a factory.

Artwork was once proudly shown in 30,000 BC or later. The art of creating continued with many masterpieces, such as the Mona Lisa, and even more beautiful paintings up to now. More and more people have called themselves artists and continue to create.

Many people have made Christmas art, and others have produced random and creative art. Regardless of whether they both were creating with a dead tree and colored wax, they were making art. This shows that practicing everyday or having fun with your friends and just sketching, you too can be an artist! With hard work, practice and confidence in your ability, you could even start a new business.

Let’s take a look at some of the creative work by several artists here at Peirce Middle School!

"Winter with my friends"

Written by Juliette Smith

Copy of Untitled.png
The snow is finally falling,
And my friends are calling.
We roller skate on ice,
I feels very nice.

Once in a while I fell,
But then I heard a bell.
I told my friends goodbye,
But I wasn't sure why.

I went where the bell was heard
It was my mother! How absurd!
She gave me some sort of drink
Clink, Clink, Clink

She told me I could invite my friends, all five
So she gave me a ride
We went to where I left them before
They got in the car, got to the house and opened the door
Then we finally see…
Some hot chocolate for my friends and me!
